Slough Qiadat Ijtema 2025: A Day of Unity, Learning and Sportsmanship

Slough, UK – Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, Slough’s Local Ijtema 2025 of Middlesex Region was successfully held on Saturday, 15th February 2025, at Baitul Wahid Mosque. The day was filled with academic, spiritual, and sports activities, fostering unity and personal development among attendees.

This year’s Ijtema theme, “Holy Quran – Casket of Jewels,” was beautifully reflected throughout the event. Various artifacts of the Holy Quran were displayed, offering attendees a glimpse of the hard work of Atfal’s and the significance of the divine revelation. These exhibits were admired by all who attended, adding a spiritual depth to the gathering.

  • Khuddam:
    52% out of Khuddam in the country (62 Khuddam)
  • Atfal:
    70% out of atfal in the country (20 atfal)

Schedule & Highlights

  • 8:30 AM – Registration and breakfast, which included hot tea, snacks, biscuits, juice, and chocolate cakes.
  • 9:00 AM – Opening session led by Rana Usman Sahib (Regional Qaid Middlesex), Zaka Rana Sahib (Qaid Slough Qiadat), and Hamza Sahib (Chairman Slough Ijtema 2025).
  • 9:30 AM: Sports Activities:
    • Khuddam (Indoor at Baitul Wahid Events & Sports hall): Table Tennis, Table Football, Pool Table, and a Strong Man competition.
    • Atfal (Springwest Academy): Football, Sprints, Rally Sprint, and Dodgeball.
  • 12:00 PM – Interactive Self-Defence session for Khuddam.
  • 1:30 PM – Zuhar and Asr prayers.
  • A dedicated Tuck Shop was available throughout the day, except during prayer times.
  • 2:00 PM – Lunch: A hearty meal of pasta and delicious Kheer.
    Regional Nazim Tabligh and Naib Qaid Middlesex Region Saad Ahmed Sahib joined during lunch and delivered inspiring words at the Tabligh Stall.
  • 3:00 PM – Academics commenced, engaging both Khuddam and Atfal in various competitions featuring Tilawat, Nazm, Adhaan, and speeches in English and Urdu, alongside an extempore speech competition.
  • 4:00 PM – Quiz competition for Khuddam.
  • 5:00 PM – Maghrib prayers.
  • 5:30 PM – Concluding Session with a motivational address by Mohtamim Tabligh Nasar Ahmad Bhatti Sahib. This session also included the distribution of certificates for the top three positions in academics and sports for Khuddam and certificates and medals for the top three position holders in Academics and Sports for Atfal.

This year’s Ijtema was truly a blend of spiritual enlightenment, physical activity, and intellectual engagement. The inclusion of Quranic artifacts beautifully aligned with the event’s theme, reminding all attendees of the importance and timeless wisdom of the Holy Quran.

Alhamdulillah, the Ijtema was a resounding success, strengthening the bonds of brotherhood among all participants. May Allah enable us to continue benefiting from such blessed gatherings and deepen our connection with the Holy Quran. Ameen.
