Clapham Junction Waqf e Nau Ijtema 2024

By the Grace of Allah the Almighty, the local  Waqf e nau Ijtema for Clapham Junction was held today, Sunday the 8th of December. To start preparations a letter to our beloved Huzur (aba) was sent to request for the overall success and fulfilment of the objectives of the ijtema.

The ijtema committee was formed and members were informed of their roles before the regular meetings commenced. Our first committee meeting was held on the 1st of November. A detailed project plan was created and meetings were held every other week to discuss high level responsibilities, followed by detailed departmental plans and the progress of these. We utilised the local salat centre for such meetings and for better collaboration to aid productivity.

During these meetings, we discussed various difficulties that were becoming an obstacle. However, after continuous prayers and regrouping, By the grace of Allah we overcame the issues through persistent dedication and commitment.

The venue and date was decided and the attendance campaign then kicked off 2 weeks prior to the ijtema, with a combination of, instant messages and calls with individual Waqfeen e nau to help promote this event.

Registration started promptly at 12PM and the opening session at 12:45. In the opening session, we had a warm welcome by the local Sadr. He welcomed and thanked all Atfal and khuddams for attending. He reminded us the purpose of the event and how blessed those are to be part of this scheme.

Following the opening session, the academics started, covering Tilawat, English speech and Extempore speech. After the completion of the academics, our closing session was held. We had the honour to have our regional Amir sb with us who delivered the closing address and lead us in silent prayer, followed by prize distribution.

Alhamdolillah the attendance was 22 out of 26 which was 85% of our total wafeen e nau tajneed.

May Allah continue to bless us and keep providing us strength and the ability to hold such events with improvements. May we continue to serve the Jama’at and strengthen our faith.

Ameen
