Chapter 7, Verse 32
یٰبَنِیۡۤ اٰدَمَ خُذُوۡا زِیۡنَتَکُمۡ عِنۡدَ کُلِّ مَسۡجِدٍ وَّکُلُوۡا وَاشۡرَبُوۡا وَلَا تُسۡرِفُوۡا ۚ اِنَّہٗ لَا یُحِبُّ الۡمُسۡرِفِیۡنَ ﴿٪۳۲﴾
English Translation
O children of Adam! look to your adornment at every time and place of worship, and eat and drink but exceed not the bounds; surely, He does not love those who exceed the bounds.
The adornment should either be physical or spiritual. In the physical sense believers are enjoined to go to a place of worship, as far as possible in a clean and decent dress.
