HIGHLIGHTS OF THE REGIONAL IJTEMA FOLLOWED BY REPORT

 

 

Assalamoalikum Wa Rahmatullah,

 

Alhamdulillah, with the grace of Allah, the North West Regional Ijtema of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya UK successfully concluded on Sunday, 11th May. The Ijtema took place over two spiritually uplifting and activity-filled days, beginning on Saturday, 10th May.

 

The Ijtema preparation commenced eight weeks in advance, with the regional Ijtema committee working diligently not only for the main event but also assisting in the organisation of various local Ijtemas held beforehand. Their hard work and dedication laid the foundation for a successful regional gathering.

 

The proceedings began on Saturday at 5:00 PM following the Asr prayer. The opening session was chaired by respected Mohtamim Sahib Tabligh.

Following this, a variety of recreational activities were arranged, including sports such as volleyball, pickleball, and tennis. “The Hub” offered engaging indoor games and creative activities, which were well received and thoroughly enjoyed by Khuddam of all ages. A delicious BBQ dinner was served in the evening, adding to the sense of brotherhood and community spirit.

 

A particular highlight of the day was the honoured presence of Sadr Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya UK, who joined us during the evening. He visited the Ijtema site, interacted with Khuddam, and graciously participated in an open Q&A session after the Maghrib and Isha prayers. His words of guidance and encouragement were deeply appreciated by all in attendance.

Sunday began in the early hours with Tahajjud prayers, followed by congregational Fajr prayer. After breakfast at 8:00 AM, the academic competitions commenced. These included Tilawat, Adhan, Nazm, and prepared speeches in both English and Urdu.

We are immensely grateful to the respected judges who gave their time and effort to assess the participants.

Post-lunch, the Zuhr and Asr prayers were followed by a Talqeen-e-Amal session, delivered by respected Murabbi Khurshid Ahmad Sahib.

This spiritually enriching session prepared Khuddam for the final sports competitions, which took place at the sports centre. The football and cricket matches were marked by a competitive yet brotherly atmosphere. The finals of volleyball and pickleball were held later at the Masjid complex, drawing an enthusiastic audience and showcasing excellent sportsmanship.

The Ijtema concluded with the final session, bringing together over 350 Khuddam who attended across both days. The spirit of unity, brotherhood, and devotion was evident throughout the event.
