The Middlesex Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya held their Regional Ijtema 2025 in Southall at Darus Salaam Mosque and Villiers High School, bringing together young Ahmadi Muslims for a day full of faith, learning, sports, and brotherhood. This year’s theme was “Holy Qur’an: Casket of Jewels.”
The day began with registration and breakfast at 8:30 AM, followed by the opening session and then the Unity Trials: Knowledge Edition, a quiz-style competition encouraging teamwork and learning.
Competitions and Inspirational Talks
At 11:00 AM, the academic competitions kicked off. These included Tilawat, Nazm, Adhan, and prepared speeches in both English and Urdu. These events gave Khuddam the chance to express their love for their faith and improve their public speaking.
At the same time, a powerful session titled “The Journey of a Young Ahmadi” took place, led by Sabah Ahmedi Sahib (@theyoungimam) and Attique Ur Rehman Sahib. They spoke about the daily struggles and goals of Ahmadi youth growing up in today’s world.
At 12:00 PM, Dr. Razwan Baig Sahib led a hands-on Qur’an and Arabic Calligraphy session, where participants explored the beauty and meaning behind Arabic writing and Qur’anic verses.
Action on the Sports Field
After Zohur and Asr prayers, attention turned to sports at 2:45 PM. Teams competed in football, cricket, tug of war, and relay races, while individual contests included archery, basketball, weightlifting, and a skipping challenge. Indoors, Khuddam enjoyed games like carom, FIFA PS5, chess, darts, and table tennis.
Southall proved to be a fantastic host for the Ijtema, with great venues and strong support from the local community.
A Look Back at a Great Legacy
At 2:15 PM, Khuddam had the chance to hear from Ahmad Salam Sahib, son of Nobel Prize winner Dr. Abdus Salam Sahib, in a session called “Meet the Legacy.” He shared personal stories and lessons from his father’s life – a scientist who made history while staying strong in his faith.
Final Sessions

The Middlesex Regional Ijtema wasn’t just a full day of activities , it was a reminder of the strength that comes from being part of a united community. From speeches and prayers to sports and games, Khuddam left Southall feeling more connected, more inspired, and proud to be part of a brotherhood that stands strong in faith and service.
As always, the Ijtema showed that when young people come together for the sake of Allah, great things can happen.
