From 6 Northern regions of the Majlis, 12 Qiadat teams signed up for the match day each allowed a maximum of 15 players. For the first time in many years, a team from Scotland returned to this competition, Alhamdulillah.

Around 130 Khuddam turned up in great spirits facing yet another rainy KFL North event with great attitude and dedication. Group matches took place until around lunch time when Zhur & Asr prayers were offered in congregation followed by a Tarbiyyat talk by Murabbi Muhammad Khurshid Ahmad Sahib of Darul Amaan Mosque. Khuddam were reminded to show discipline in matters of faith especially daily Salat. The knockout stages were played in the afternoon as the event progressed as per schedule.
A thrilling final took place between Stockport who had players of last year’s KFL Super Cup winners versus Manchester North who had players of the National Ijtema Football winners. Both from the same region, North West. Although Manchester North went up 2:0, the match ended up going to penalties after Stockport cleared the deficit in a tight timeline.
