“I have named this collection Beacon for the Youth” – Mashale-Rah launched by Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V

The final session address at this year’s Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya UK Ijtema was delivered by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul-Masih V (aba) . On 11 September 2022, at around 16:00, Huzoor (aba) arrived at Kingsley where the final session proceedings commenced in the ijtema Gah. After Tilawat, Pledge and Nazm Huzoor (aba) delivered a faith-inspiring address for Khuddam at the end of which he gave Khuddamul Ahmadiyya many prayers. After silent prayer, Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (aba) said:

“The Isha’at Department of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya UK, was given the blessed opportunity to translate and publish the first half of Mashal-e-Rah Volume 1. The book covers the initial years of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya including the very first address at the inception of Khuddamul Ahmadiyya in 1938 delivered by Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih II (ra). This English translation comprises of 26 addresses and 12 poems in total.

I have named this collection Beacon for the Youth in English. May Allah the Almighty enable this to become a beneficial source of material for the Taleem and Tarbiyyat of our youth. Ameen”

After these moving words and the conclusion of the session, Huzoor (aba) launched the Beacon for the Youth book (which entailed a website) from a screen that was flanked by the first Urdu 1970 edition of Mashal-e-Rah and the present English translation. By the grace of Allah the Almighty within a few hours the entire stock of Beacon for the Youth had sold out due to the effect of the blessed words of Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (aba) and his prayers.

Throughout the Khuddam Ijtema (starting on 9 September 2022), an exhibition on Mashal-e-Rah was displayed in the exhibition marquee showcasing the history of the publication. The exhibition caused an increase in anticipation for the book and drew in much interest.

The Ijtema featured an exhibition on Mashale-Rah including a display of the first Urdu edition published in 1970.
