MKA Glasgow North Ijtema 2026

Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya North Glasgow successfully held its local Ijtema on Sunday, 25th January 2026, at Baitur Rehman Mosque, Glasgow.

Pre-Ijtema Preparation

The preparation for the Ijtema began one month prior to the event with the formation of an Ijtema Committee and the announcement of the Ijtema date to all Khuddam members. Covering all departments, a structured committee was established, and members were instructed to form their respective teams by identifying potential Khuddam from the Majlis. This approach aimed to increase attendance and ensure wider involvement in the preparation and training process.

Each committee member was assigned groups of Khuddam to conduct house visits, make phone calls, and send reminder messages. Regular attendance tracking was carried out to monitor participation.

Several promotional materials were prepared and circulated, including posters for sports activities, the food menu, the milkshake competition, and MKA Trials, to encourage participation. Additionally, three promotional videos were created and shared.

Special emphasis was placed on decorating the hall to create a welcoming and positive first impression. An exhibition aligned with the Ijtema theme was set up, featuring posters based on verses from the Holy Qur’an, Hadith, the sayings of the Promised Messiah (as), and guidance from the beloved Huzoor (aba).

On the Day

The Ijtema commenced with the Fajr prayer at 7:00 am, as the event was held at the mosque. Breakfast was served afterward and included channa, naan, omelette, bread, jam, butter, croissants, tea, coffee, and juice.

The opening session was honored by the presence of the National Khidmat Mohtamim, Nadeem Ahmad sahib, who delivered a faith-inspiring speech on the MKA theme and shared his personal experiences of receiving help from Allah. Khuddam were also given the opportunity to share their own experiences, which enriched the session.

A high level of participation was observed in the academic competitions, leading to an extended academic session. Following this, a one-hour football session was held at Scotstoun Stadium, which Khuddam found both relaxing and enjoyable.

Lunch was then served, consisting of chicken pasta, chips, and kheer, and was well received.

Next, the MKA Trials were conducted for approximately 1.5 hours. A new team-building activity—the Milkshake Competition—was introduced, where Khuddam paired up and brought their own ingredients. Judges were appointed to evaluate and award the best milkshakes. This activity was found to be highly engaging and enjoyable. Additionally, push-up competitions and a team quiz were conducted.

Due to the inclusion of the new MKA Trials and the high level of participation, the overall programme experienced a slight delay.

Conclusion

The concluding session was held at 6:00 pm and ended at 7:00 pm with Dua.

Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, the Ijtema was successful and received very positive feedback, particularly regarding the overall arrangement, hall setup, exhibition, milkshake competition, and food.
