MKA Berrylands Ijtema 2022

Alhamdulillah by the Grace of Allah, Berrylands held their local ijtema on Sunday the 30th January at Baitul Hamd Namaz Centre Epsom.

The day began at 11:30 with registration and breakfast was provided to khuddam. Followed by the opening session chaired by our respected local Sadr sb. First was Tilawat with translation recited by Farhan Mirza, followed by the pledge and opening welcome speech by the local qaid who briefly spoke about the importance of the pledge.

Following the opening session we promptly moved onto academics. The competitions were judged by senior ansar members of the jamaat. The academic competitions consisted off, tilawat, nazm, adahn, extempore speech and a kahoot quiz which covered this years theme ‘honouring our pledge’ and also general knowledge.

Shorty after we were blessed to have a young murabi join us virtually who educated our khuddam brothers on what it means to honour our pledge and how it can be done followed by a short interactive Q&A.

Once this was completed zohar and asr prayer was performed. Afterwards we had the honour to be joined by Anser Bajwa sahb who led our closing session. Here prizes were given to individuals who done exceptionally well in the academics and the session was ended by a closing speech and silent prayer.

Lastly before khuddam were dismissed packed lunch was given to them.

Alhamdulillah we had a total attendance of 18 out of 26.

Jazakallah
