Alhamdulillah, a group of 20 Khuddam from Worcester Park, including myself, were blessed with the opportunity to take part in a trip to Mount Snowdon last weekend.
We departed from Worcester Park on Friday evening and travelled to Manchester, where we stayed at Darul Aman Mosque. The weekend was filled with congregational prayers, spiritual reflection, and the strengthening of brotherhood amongst us.
On Saturday, we began our ascent towards the summit of Mount Snowdon. The weather was particularly unforgiving, with strong winds and heavy rain making conditions unsafe. For everyone’s safety, we made the difficult decision to turn back before reaching the top. Despite this, the spirit of unity, perseverance, and mutual support shone through, and we returned with cherished memories.
Alhamdulillah, alongside the spiritual and physical benefits of the trip, we also managed to raise over £1,500 for charity over the course of the weekend.
On Sunday, as we made our way back home, we were blessed to listen together to the inspiring address of Beloved Huzoor (aba) at Jalsa Salana Germany, which was a beautiful way to conclude our journey.
May Allah the Almighty accept our humble efforts, bless all those who took part, and reward everyone who supported us in this cause. Ameen.
