Community Donation Brings Smiles to Children’s Ward at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy
Last Friday, volunteers delivered a thoughtful donation to the Children’s Ward at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, bringing a moment of joy and comfort to young patients and their families.
The visit, organised as part of Khuddam’s ongoing commitment to community service, focused on supporting the hospital’s dedicated staff and brightening the day for children receiving care. Jameel Khan, Qaid for Edinburgh and Fife, described the experience as both humbling and uplifting, noting the warm welcome from hospital personnel who work tirelessly to support families during challenging times.
The donation included items chosen to help create a more positive and comforting environment for the children. Chocolates, kids’ clothing, and toys were donated largely by Atfal and other members from the Edinburgh and Fife Qiadat, reflecting the spirit of generosity and compassion within the community. Staff expressed their appreciation for the gesture, highlighting how such acts of kindness make a meaningful difference in the ward.
Community members who contributed to the effort were thanked for their generosity and continued support. Organisers emphasised that small acts of service, carried out consistently, help strengthen bonds across the region and reflect the shared values of compassion and care.
As the team looks ahead, they hope to continue building partnerships with local institutions and finding new ways to support those in need across Fife and beyond.
