By the grace of Allah the Almighty, beloved Huzoor (aba) has approved the theme of the Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya UK year 2022-23 as “Salat – The Delight of Our Eyes”.

The wording for this theme is inspired by the following Hadith of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa):

قُرَّةُ عَیْنِیْ فِی الصَّلٰوةِ

“The delight of my eyes is in Salat”.

The meaning behind this Hadith is that true pleasure and lasting peace is only derived through observing Salat.

Huzoor-e-aqdas (aba) is constantly reminding members of the Jama’at of the importance of observing Salat as the means of attaining nearness to Allah the Almighty, and spoke specifically on this topic at the closing address to the Majlis at last year’s National Ijtema.

It is now our responsibility to infuse this theme throughout all our efforts at a local, regional and national level. It is also an opportunity to engage with members of the Majlis and make a special effort to increase attendance at congregational prayers at the Mosque.

May Allah enable us to do justice to this blessed theme and to meet the expectations that Beloved Huzoor (aba) has of the Majlis. May Allah enable us to appreciate the significance of Salat and may it indeed become the “delight of our eyes”. Ameen
