National Quiz Competition Concludes in Islamabad
By the grace of Allah on the 6th of July 2025 Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya UK held a National Quiz Competition in Masroor Hall, Islamabad, Tilford. This was organised by the Rishta Nata Department of the Majlis and was based on the theme of living a chaste life according to the teachings of Islam.
A syllabus was published comprising of material from the Holy Quran, Ahadith, the book Garments for Each Other and Domestic Issues & Their Solutions.
The material was selected keeping mind the constitutional role of the Rishta Nata Department in MKA UK which is geared towards tarbiyyat and moral training.
Regions were asked to bring a team consisting of 5 khuddam lead by a team captain and hold regular study sessions in the lead-up to the quiz in order to fully prepare.
On the day the quiz began at 10:00am with the opening session in Masroor Hall. After the recitation of the Holy Quran and pledge, Sadr Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya UK, Abdul Quddus Arif Sahib introduced the day with a few words emphasising that Khuddam ought to ensure they retain the knowledge they have learned for this competition and put it into practice. This was followed by the reading out of the rules and regulations.
The quiz was hosted by Ataul Fattir Tahir Sahib and National Secretary Tehrike-Jadid, Hibbatul-Mohsin Abid Sahib, acted as the Judge.
There were a total of 4 rounds that in which questions were asked to Khuddam in different formats. These were
- Question asked to every region one at a time.
- Buzzer rounds where a question was asked on the floor and the first team buzzing had the opportunity to answer.
- Individual rounds in which a Khadim from the region had to occupy a single chair in the middle and answer the question on his own without help from his team.
- A round where question difficulty was randomly decided using a spin-the-wheel.
- A video round in which a video was played of addresses or question and answer sessions of Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (aba) and the team had to answer questions based on material retained in those few minutes.
- Some rounds consisted of multiple choice questions.
Every region had access to a lifeline which they could only use once throughout the competition. This was “Phone a Murrabi”—they could either call a Murrabi of their choosing of call the designated Murrabi arranged by the hosts. The questions were also displayed on screens.
After 4 rounds three regions: Yorkshire, Baitul Ehsan and Masroor Region tied for third position which was then decided by a sudden-death round. The winners of the quiz were:
1st Position: Baitul Ehsan Region
2nd Position: Tahir Region
3rd Position: Muqami Region
Alhamdolilah the competition was tough and the scorecard was close till the end with no region winning by an extra-ordinary margin—very few questions were incorrect which spoke to the preparedness of all regions.
All together 16 regions participated which were:
- Baitul Ehsan
- Baitun Noor
- Bashir Region
- East
- Fazl Mosque
- Hertfordshire
- Masroor Region

Some Khuddam stood out as taking their team forward in critical moments. They were Bilal Dar (Tahir Region), Abdul Waseh (Baitul Ehsan), Mirza Saad Ahmad (Muqami Region) and Ahmad Shahzaib (Yorkshire Region).
The concluding session began after Namaz-e-Zuhr and was chaired by Additional Wakil-ut-Tasneef, Munir-ud-Din Shams Sahib. Trophies to each of the 3 winning teams and tokens of appreciation to all regions for participation were given out. This was followed by an address by Munir-ud-Din Shams Sahib on his memories with the Khulafah-e-Ahmadiyyat. After dua Khuddam were served lunch.
Of course, other than the learning of the Holy Quran, Ahadith and words of the Khulafah for the competition the most important element of the day was that all regions had the opportunity to offer Namaz in congregation behind Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (aba).
