Chit Chat Chai – Baitul Ehsan’s First Open Discussion Forum

Baitul Ehsan Mosque hosted its first informal Ta’lim forum, titled “Chit Chat Chai”. The session marked a refreshing and welcoming approach to Ta’lim, creating a relaxed environment where attendees felt comfortable to ask questions, share thoughts, and engage in open discussion over chai.

Unlike formal lectures or structured programmes, Chit Chat Chai was intentionally kept informal. There was no fixed agenda or lengthy speeches; instead, the session centred on open dialogue, allowing participants to raise questions as they arose. The session included various segments, such as, an intro into Ta’lim, people turning away from Islam and going towards Atheism, and Allegations Debunked, which consisted of various allegations that have been put against Ahmadiyyat.

This format encouraged honest conversation and active participation, making the discussion both engaging and accessible. A range of topics were touched upon during the forum, including practical Jama‘ati matters such as algations and related concerns, as well as general questions raised by attendees.

In addition, a quiz on general Islamic knowledge was conducted, engaging participants and encouraging friendly competition while reinforcing learning.

The success of this initial session highlighted the value of informal Ta’lim initiatives within the Jama‘at. Such gatherings provide an effective way to encourage questions, deepen understanding, and strengthen bonds among members.

Insha’Allah, Chit Chat Chai will continue as a beneficial platform for learning and engagement at Baitul Ehsan Mosque.
