The Purpose and Impact of Nurul-Qur’an by the Promised Messiah (as)
-
In 1895, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) founded a quarterly periodical named Nurul-Qur’an (The Light of the Holy Qur’an).
-
The purpose of Nurul-Qur’an was to:
-
Disseminate the truths and verities of the Divine Word.
-
Present every claim or argument with direct reference to the Holy Quran.
-
Demonstrate that the Holy Quran alone possesses the miraculous ability to articulate both its claims and their proofs.
-
-
In Nurul-Qur’an – Number I:
-
The Promised Messiah (as) proves that the Holy Quran claims:
-
Its Divine origin.
-
The Prophethood of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa).
-
-
These claims are supported by powerful and compelling arguments drawn directly from the Quran itself.
-
-
In Nurul-Qur’an – Number II:
-
The Promised Messiah (as) expresses deep regret at having to respond to the slanderous attacks made by Fateh Masih, a Christian missionary.
-
Fateh Masih had made vile and baseless allegations against the Holy Prophet (sa).
-
In response, the Promised Messiah (as):
-
Strongly rebuts the slanders.
-
Exposes the missionary’s hypocrisy, ignorance, and bigotry.
-
Demonstrates that the missionary’s insults reflected more on his own character than on the noble Prophet he sought to malign.
