By the Grace of Allah, Southall Jamaat had the pleasure of organising a delightful and spiritually uplifting picnic at the grounds of Hadeeqatul Mahdi. The event brought together members of all ages from the Jamaat, including Khuddam, Ansar, Atfal, and families, in a day that balanced recreation, spiritual reflection, and community bonding.

Alhamdulillah, the weather was warm and sunny, providing the perfect backdrop for the day’s activities. The atmosphere was filled with energy and joy as attendees arrived early in the morning, ready to spend a meaningful day together.

Sport played a central role in fostering brotherhood throughout the event. Khuddam and Ansar participated in a spirited cricket match on the green fields of Hadeeqatul Mahdi. The match was competitive yet friendly, reflecting the spirit of unity and mutual respect that lies at the heart of our Jamaat. Simultaneously, the younger members , Atfal , enjoyed their own set of activities, including a lively football game that kept them active and engaged. In a particularly exciting twist, the Atfal also had the rare opportunity to learn the basics of how to drive a car in a safe and controlled environment ,an experience many found thrilling and memorable.

A key highlight of the day was the delicious barbecue lunch. Volunteers worked diligently to prepare a generous spread of freshly grilled chicken tikka and seekh kebabs, served alongside cold refreshments to help everyone stay cool under the summer sun. To end the meal on a sweet note, attendees were treated to traditional seviyan, a dessert that was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The food served not only nourished the body but also served as a means of strengthening bonds between members as they sat together and shared their meals in a spirit of unity.

While the day was filled with enjoyment and relaxation, it remained firmly anchored in spirituality. Congregational prayers were held on-site, providing moments of reflection and connection with Allah amidst the activities. The spiritual high point of the day came with the honour of offering Asr prayer behind Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba) at Masjid Mubarak. This deeply moving experience served as a powerful reminder of the immense blessing of Khilafat and left a lasting impact on all in attendance.

As the day drew to a close, members departed with hearts filled with gratitude. The event not only allowed for physical recreation and social interaction but also reinforced the core Islamic values of brotherhood, humility, and service to others.

The Southall Jamaat picnic at Hadeeqatul Mahdi was a resounding success ,a day that combined the best of faith, friendship, and fun. We pray that Allah continues to bless our Jamaat with such opportunities to come together in His remembrance and in service to one another. Ameen
