MKA Tolworth Ijtema 2022

By the grace of Allah, the Almighty, Tolworth Khuddam Ijtema was held on Saturday, 22 January 2022 in Baitul Hamd Namaz Centre Epsom under strict Covid safety guidelines. The sports competitions were held in Goals Tolworth in the afternoon.

This year’s theme of Ijtema is ‘Honoring Our Pledge’. Majlis Tolworth has tried to reflect all their activities based on this year’s theme.

The Ijtema planning and committee meeting took place in December 2021. A letter for Dua to Huzur-e-Aqdas (aba) was sent to request special prayers for the overall success and fulfilment of the objectives of the Ijtema.

The Opening Ijtema ceremony started at 10:32 am chaired by Respected National Sadr Sahib (virtual). First was Tilawat with English translation and was recited by a Khadim of Majlis Tolworth Maazin Abidsb, followed by Pledge led by Sadr Sahib. Then Sadr Sahib requested the various Qaideen including Qaid Majlis of Tolworth to provide brief opening remarks. In the end, Sadr sb gave his opening speech, question & answer session and Dua. The session was broadcasted live via Teams Link and a few Khuddam from Tolworth joined online as well.

Following Sadr Sahib’s opening ceremony, we promptly moved on to host academic competitions. The competitions were judged by Ahsan Chaudhry sb and Sarmad Sohail sb. The academic competitions included Tilawat, Azan, Nazm, Speech (prepared & extempore) and Team Quiz.

Following the academic competitions, we invited two guests to deliver external presentations on the topics of: Khidmat-e-Khalq (Blood Drive Initiative) led by Bezhad Khan sb (Regional Nazim Khidmat-e-Khalq) and a round table discussion with the Khuddam about their education and career by Sarmad Sohail sb, National Mohtamim Amoor-e-Tulaba.

Following the external presentations, we held the closing session which was chaired by Sarmad Sohail sb. First was Tilawat by Maazin Abid sb, then Pledge by Sarmad sb, Nazam by Kashif Arif sb, and Ijtema report was presented by Qaid Majlis Tolworth followed Prize Distribution. After the prize distribution, Sarmat Sahib delivered his closing remarks and reminded all Khuddam about the importance and significance of the Bai’at.
After the Dua, we did a group photo session, performed Zohr and Asr Namaaz in congregation. Following Namaz Khuddam collected their lunch packed in plastic containers which was Bryani and Raita. In the end Khuddam were invited to participate in sports competitions in Goals Tolworth.

The overall attendance was 26 including 4 guests.
Khuddam attendance was: 22 out of a total Tajneed of 29 which equates to 76%
And 4 guests.
