Atfal Tahir Regional Ijtema 2023
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
By the grace of Allah, Tahir Region Alhamdulillah was able to hold a full scale Atfal Regional Ijtema on Saturday 18th March 2023 after the lifting of all covid-19 restrictions. The theme of this year’s Ijtema chosen and given to us by Hazoor-e-Anwar (abta) was Salat, the delight our eyes.
Planning for the Ijtema took place at the beginning of February, a letter to Hazoor was written and a committee was formed. Each member was informed of their roles and meetings commenced. Each meeting, arrangements for the Ijtema were discussed and at the core of this we planned to ensure that Atfal safety remained the top priority.
To cater for Atfal safety as well as well-being, we ensured that there will be enough people on site as well as having an onsite paramedic which Alhamdulillah we got arranged from within the region from Ewell qiadat.
A full-scale attendance campaign then begun 5 weeks in advance of the Ijtema in which calls, messages and house visits and copies of the Ijtema program, poster and invite letters were sent to Atfal informing them of the Ijtema. Additionally, we then sent out the Ijtema program to all Atfal.
The aim this year was to bring a fully packed, fun program for the Atfal to enjoy and benefit from, some highlights of the program include:
The Atfal Ijtema began with a continental breakfast alongside registration at 9am followed by the opening session at 9:30 chaired by Tariq Ahmad Hayat sahib, Naib sadr Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya UK as well as Farhad sahib, Motamim Atfal UK.
Following the opening session, we began the academics sessions at 10 for all age groups, including the under 7’s. Alhamdolillah, academics went well and all Atfal were seen taking part and enjoying. Following academics, at 12pm we held a “you say” which was taken by Sharjeel Sahib, from the national Atfal amla. The session took place and Atfal were split per age group and in each session, they were given a talk on aspects of tarbiyyat and also on the theme of salat – we then also had an interactive session where in the main hall, Atfal took part in a quiz.
Following this, namaz was offered in congregation and lunch served, which contained chicken and chips for Atfal as well as parents who were on site. Following lunch, we then began sports – we had originally also planned to have a bouncy castle on the side for younger aged Atfal to enjoy, but due to bad weather we had to cancel this as this became a safety concern.
Once the sports sessions concluded, we then prepared for the final session which again was chaired by Tariq Ahmad Hayat sahib, Naib Sadr Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya UK. The final session the concluded with the prize distribution and dua.
Alhamdolillah by the grace of Allah, the total attendance for Atfal at this year’s Atfal regional Ijtema Tahir region is as follows:
101 Atfal out of a total of 140 Atfal on the Tajneed, this makes a total of 72% of the overall Tajneed.
I’d like to thank all Atfal who took time out to come and participate in the Ijtema, May Allah bless you all in abundance and increase our faith and keep us all on the path of righteousness. Ameen.
Humbly serving as Regional Nazim Atfal Tahir Region
