Scotland Regional Ijtema
In the name of Allah, most gracious ever merciful.
By the grace of Allah, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Scotland, held their Regional Ijtema on the 27th of March 2022. The theme of this year’s Ijtema was honouring the pledge
Planning and preparations started around in January when an Ijtema committee was made to discuss how we can make this one of the best Regional Ijtema’s for the people of Scotland and most importantly bring back the brotherhood that has been missing because of COVID.
The badminton and table tennis competitions were held last week at Scoutstan Stadium, with an attendance of 20 Khuddam. We took this route so we can maximise our resources on Ijtema day and focus on the Taleem & Tarbiyyat aspect of the Ijtema.
Today we started the ijtema with breakfast at 10:00 am, on the menu we had – Scones, Hash browns, beans and scrambled eggs.
We then started our opening session around 11:15 am. With tilawat, pledge, nazm and a speech presented by Regional Qaid Sahib on the theme of this year’s ijtema. Followed by dua by Murabi Daud Qurshehi
We then moved on to academic competitions consisting of tilawat, nazm, adhan and prepared speech. We then offered Zhur and Asr namaz and had lunch afterwards.
On the menu, we had Masala Fish & Chips along with chicken pasta to meet dietary requirements.
After this, we went to Football and came back to Mosque to have dessert.
After a short quiz, the final session started with Tilawat, Khuddam pledge and Nazam followed by a prize distribution ceremony.
Respected Abdul Lodhi sb Motamid SeJ addressed All Khuddam at the final session emphasising this year’s theme of the Ijtema. After a short Q&A session, special gifts were given to those who transitioned this year to Khuddam Ul Ahmadiyya. A farewell gift was also presented to Qaid Sb Edinburgh who is now leaving the region.
The event was concluded by silent prayer led by Regional Ameer sb.
Our total attendance for this year’s regional Ijtema stands at 52 out of 110 Khuddam
