
MKA Scotland Hosts Inspiring Regional Ijtema in Glasgow
Glasgow, 12th April 2025 – Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya (MKA) Scotland successfully held its Regional Ijtema (Annual Youth Gathering) at Baitur Rehman Mosque, Glasgow. The event, themed “The Holy Qur’an – A Casket of Jewels,” aimed to rejuvenate the spiritual lives of Khuddam of Scotland and strengthen their bond with the Holy Qur’an.
The Ijtema commenced with the Zuhr Namaz at 13:30, followed by the recitation of the Holy Qur’an and an English translation.
In opening address, the local missionary spoke about the Qur’an as a guiding light in the life of a believer and its role in shaping moral and spiritual excellence.
Competitions and Activities
A series of academic competitions were held, including:

Qur’anic recitation (Tilawat)

Poem recitation (Nazm)

Adhan (call to prayer)

Speeches in English and Urdu

Islamic (Religious ) knowledge quiz
Alongside these, team-building and physical activities like the Strong Man contest, Memory Test Relay, and Pass on the Act brought energy and camaraderie to the day.
Dinner and Refreshments
The day was enriched with a shared meal featuring a blend of cultural favourites such as samosas, fried chicken, creamy vegetable pasta, ice cream, and gulab jamun.
In the closing session, Sadr Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya UK delivered a powerful message urging youth to anchor their lives in the teachings of the Holy Qur’an. The event concluded with a silent prayer, marking the end of a spiritually uplifting day.
