Towards the end of last month, members of Southall Jamaat made a special effort to collect clean and presentable clothes to donate to a local homeless shelter in Acton. On the 8th of December 2023, these clothes were successfully delivered by khuddam, just in time to distribute before the peak of the harsh winter. These donations were very well received by the shelter, and they couldn’t’ emphasise the importance of local communities coming together to build a safe space for the most vulnerable in society. After extending their gratitude khuddam were able to establish a relationship with the centre,  hopefully allowing us to further substantiate the compassion  of Islam and give back to our local communities.
