On Friday 6th September, the Greenford Jam’aat held a social barbecue event at the residence of Qaid Sahib, bringing together 28 Khuddam for an evening of good food, conversation, and brotherly bonding. The event started with the important task of the Shura elections, led by Qaid Sahib.

Following the elections, everyone gathered for the barbecue. The food was plentiful and well-prepared, with everyone enjoying the delicious spread. The barbecue created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, giving Khuddam a chance to reconnect and catch up with each other, especially with many of the new khuddam that have just joined the qiadat.

Despite the overcast skies and the bad weather forecast throughout the day, there was only a brief moment of rain. By the grace of Allah, it only rained for a few minutes, and the barbecue continued smoothly without any disruption. As the night drew in, a bonfire was also lit, adding a warm and cosy element to the gathering. 

Alhamdulillah, the evening turned out to be a great success. The combination of the Shura elections, the delicious food, and the friendly atmosphere made it a memorable gathering. Events like these are essential for building bonds within the Qiadat, and everyone left looking forward to the next opportunity to come together in this way.
