Middlesex Regional Office Bearers’ Forum: A Day of Reflection, Discussion, and Skill Building

Southall, 15th December 2024 – The Middlesex Regional Office Bearers’ Forum was successfully held at Darus Salaam Mosque, Southall, bringing together regional office bearers for a productive day of reflection, discussion, and planning for the year ahead. The event, attended by dedicated members, emphasized unity, skill development, and service to the Jama’at with excellence.

The day began at 8:30 AM with a hearty breakfast, providing attendees an opportunity to connect and prepare for the sessions ahead.

At 9:30 AM, the opening session was led by National Mohtamim Tajneed Shahzad Bashir sahib, who set the tone for the day by highlighting the importance of office bearers’ roles in serving the community with commitment and dedication.

The schedule proceeded at 10:00 AM with departmental forums led by respective Nazimeen. These forums focused on:

  • Sharing plans for the upcoming year.
  • Encouraging office bearers to fulfill their responsibilities with dedication and strive for excellence in their respective departments.

At 11:30 AM, the Qaideen Introduction session featured inspiring speeches from Qaideen, who shared their personal experiences of serving the Jama’at. This session emphasized the significance of being part of the Amila (leadership body) and the honor of serving the community.

The Tabligh Forum, held at 12:00 PM and led by National Mohtamim Tabligh Nassar Ahmad Bhatti sahib, centered on enhancing confidence in Tabligh efforts (spreading the message of Islam). Participants were provided with logical arguments and responses to critical topics, including:

  • The death of Jesus (as).
  • The finality of prophethood.

Nassar Ahmad Bhatti sahib motivated office bearers not to feel “on the backfoot” when engaging in Tabligh discussions and encouraged constructive and confident dialogue.

At 1:30 PM, attendees joined together for Salaat (prayers), which was followed by a well-deserved lunch at 1:45 PM, fostering fellowship and unity among participants.
