Khuddam Across Middlesex Region Begin 2025 with Prayers and Community Service
1st January 2025 – Khuddam from Middlesex Region marked the start of the new year with spiritual devotion and selfless community service, reflecting their commitment to prayers and Khidmat-e-Khalq.
In Southall, Khuddam began the day with Tahajjud and Fajr prayers at Southall Darussalam Mosque, followed by a hearty breakfast. Over 15 Khuddam from Southall, joined by 16 Khuddam from Greenford, conducted a New Year’s Day cleanup on Southall Broadway, collecting several bags of litter and leaving the area noticeably cleaner. Some Khuddam also stayed behind at the mosque to conduct Waqar-e-Amal in the kitchen, showcasing their dedication.
In Slough, 15 Khuddam, 4 Atfal, and 1 Ansar gathered at Weekes Drive Community Centre for Tahajjud and Fajr prayers, followed by a breakfast. The group then participated in a litter-picking session, collecting 7 bags of rubbish from the surrounding park and roads near the community centre.
In Hayes, 13 youth members conducted an annual New Year cleanup, covering Barra Hall Park and Stockley Park Roundabout. They collected 14 bags of litter, setting a positive example of service while starting the day with Tahajjud and Fajr prayers.
In Hounslow North and South, a joint effort took place at Hanworth Park, where 9 Khuddam from Hounslow North joined 8 Khuddam, 2 Atfal, 3 Ansar, and 1 guest Councillor Gurung from Hounslow South. Together, they collected 10 bags of litter, further demonstrating the collective spirit of community service.
In total, 76 Khuddam, 6 Atfal & 4 Ansar from Southall, Slough, Greenford, Hayes, and Hounslow participated in the day’s activities, collecting an impressive 31 bags of litter.
