KCL South Season 2023 Draft

We are delighted to announce much awaited KCL South players draft for next year of the Khuddam Cricket League which will be held in Baitul Ehsan on 11th December 2022 from 1pm-6pm.

The rules of the Draft day are as follows;

Draft Day Rules 2022- 2023

1. 8 teams will participate in the league, the same as last year.

2. Maximum of 4 Ansar members can be picked for the squad.

3. Each team in the KCL is allowed to have a maximum of 18 players squad including the captain and Manager.

4. KCL management has the right to take any player from any team to assign Manager or Captain roles as per league requirements. KCL management is not bound to give players replacements.

5. Player’s categories are defined as per 2022 outdoor league performances.

6. There are 6 categories in the draft 2023, Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver, Bronze and green.

7. First to No 30, players in the ranking are Platinum players, 31 to 60 are in the Diamond, and 61 to 90 are in the gold category. 91 to 120 are in Silver, and 121 to 135 rank players are in the Bronze category. All new registered players are in open categories.

8. Each team will pick 3 players from each category to complete the squad of 18.

9. Every team can retain a maximum of 8 players. Players can be retained from any category but no more than three from each category. Retain players list must be emailed to the KCL President by 8th December before 5:00 PM.

If any team has retained 3 players from a single category, he will miss that specific category turn in the draft. And any team who has not retained any player from a single category gets the first pick in the draft.

10. If the player is selected by the team management, he’s bound to play for that team. If he doesn’t show interest and play for the team half-heartedly, he will be barred and removed from next year’s players drafting.

11. Draft Picks will be decided by an online random generator.

12. Any team can’t have two consecutive first or last picks. In this case, the random generator will be done again.

13. After the draft, teams will have 1 week to exchange only one player with any team. If both captain and manager are agreed to.
A team can not make more than 1 transfer in the season.

14. The KCL management reserve the right to amend any of the above Rules and Regulations as it deems fit.
