By the Grace of Allah, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Sutton held its Local Ijtema at the end of January 2022. The Sports Day was held on Sunday 23rd January, and the Final Day was held on Sunday 30th January.

Both events were attended by Khuddam in large numbers- 27 Khuddam attended Sports, and 26 Khuddam attended the Final Day. Overall, 33 individual Khuddam attended the Ijtema, Alhamdulillah.

COVID guidelines were strictly followed on both days by making sure that all Khuddam had the right number of vaccine jabs (based on their age group), negative LFT, as well as strict policy of keeping masks on.

 

The Sports Day started with a formal session which consisted of the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, MKA Pledge, and a few words by Qaid Majlis Sutton.

Following the formal session, all Khuddam participated in Football, Basketball Hoop Challenge, and Cricket.

All sports activities took place indoors at Carshalton Boys Sports College Sports Hall.

The Final Day, which consisted of academics competitions, started with registration at 8:30 AM, followed by the Opening Session at 9:45 AM.

Sutton had the pleasure of having Atif Khalil sahib, Additional Mohtamim Tarbiyyat, as the Chairman of the Opening Session.

The Opening Session started with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, MKA Pledge, Nazm, and a speech by Atif Khalil sahib. In the speech, Mohtamim sahib spoke about this year’s theme, Honouring Our Pledge, and the responsibilities of each Khadim to fulfil his pledge.

The Opening Session was concluded with Dua led by Mobeen Blooch sahib, Local Sadr Jama’at Sutton.

Academic competitions followed the Opening Session, in which majority of the attending Khuddam took part. The following competitions took place:

1. Tilawat
2. Nazm
3. Adhan
4. Prepared Speech
5. Extempore Speech

In addition to the standard academic competitions, a fun memory challenge competition was also organised and thoroughly enjoyed by the Khuddam.

The Concluding Session was chaired by Jamil Bhatti sahib, Regional Qaid Baitul Ehsan.

The session started with recitation of the Holy Qur’an, MKA Pledge, and Nazm. This was followed by the Ijtema Report presented by Raza ul Haq sahib, Nazim-e-Ala Ijtema.

After the Ijtema Report, Prize Distribution followed, which was then followed by concluding remarks by Regional Qaid sahib.

Zuhr & Asr prayers were offered at Baitul Ehsan Mosque straight after the concluding remarks.

After offering Zuhr & Asr, Khuddam brothers finished the day by enjoying Chicken Biryani and Kheer, courtesy of MKA Ziafat Team.
