303. Amr ibn Shuaib relates from his grandfather through his father that the Holy Prophet (sa) directed: Order your children to perform the salat when they are seven years old, and chastise them in respect of any fault in this behalf when they are ten, and at that age put them in separate beds (Abu. Daud).
