Weekly Atfal Class – New Malden

 

Our Weekly Atfal Class in New Malden is a vibrant, nurturing, and inspiring gathering designed to help our Atfal grow physically, spiritually and morally in a fun and engaging environment. The class takes place every Saturday from 11:00AM – 13:00PM.

 

Sports: Each week begins with an exciting 45-minute sports session, where Atfal enjoy football and our newly introduced cricket activities. This helps develop teamwork, discipline, confidence, and a love for healthy physical activity.

 

Learning & Tarbiyyat: Following sports, the class formally begins with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, setting a spiritual and focused tone. The Atfal then engage with the Atfal syllabus, and the class is divided into two groups to ensure every child is catered for evenly, with age-appropriate learning and active participation.

 

Lunch & Snacks: After learning, the Atfal enjoy quality time together, strengthening bonds of brotherhood. We usually provide a light lunch, often delicious pasta followed by dessert. On some occasions, light snacks such as juice and crisps are provided.

 

Congregational Prayers: The Atfal are blessed to offer Zuhr and Asr prayers in congregation. They also take part in Waqar-e-Amal, responsibly managing the setup and wind-up for Salah, which instils discipline, leadership, and a sense of ownership.

 

Homework: To encourage steady progress, homework is given every week, enabling the Atfal to revise and continue their learning during the week.

 

Atfal Trips: Alongside the Weekly Atfal Class, we occasionally organise educational and spiritual trips. Recently, the Atfal were blessed with a trip to Islamabad, where they:

• Offered prayers behind Huzoor (aba)
• Wrote letters to Huzoor
• Took part in a formal session
• Enjoyed a beautiful Langar lunch
