By the grace of Allah, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Putney Heath, held its annual Local Ijtema at Ackroydon Hall on Sunday 4th February 2024. This year’s theme is Muhammad (saw) – The Perfect Preacher, which was heavily present within the Ijtema, through the syllabus, guest speeches, presentations and quizzes too. 

The Ijtema day began with Fajr Namaz at Masjid Fazal, followed shortly after with breakfast and registration.

Opening Session:

The Opening Session began at 10:00am, chaired by Regional Qaid Attique Yousef sahib. Khuddam were given an insightful read from expects of the Promised Messiah (as) in relation to this year’s Ijtema theme.

Morning Session:

The morning session consisted of Khuddam taking part in academics competition which consisted of Tilawat, Nazam, Azan, Prepared Speeches and Extempore Speeches.

Many Khuddam were very much interested in the topics within the prepared speech.

Prayers and Lunch:

The afternoon session consisted of Zuhr and Asr Namaz, khuddam then enjoyed a delicious lunch featuring biryani and cake with some juice.

Afternoon Session:

The afternoon session comprised of Indoor Sports where Khuddam competed in various sports such as arm wrestling and strong-man competition.

Shortly after, there was a presentation about tabligh events in relation to Holy Prophet (saw) delivered by Murabbi Sahib – Tauqeer Sahib from the Waqf-e-Nau Department UK.

A new addition to the Ijtema, was a team quiz was prepared by the Ijtema Committee. This quiz was designed to get Khuddam to have more interaction with one another, where they were tested on religious, sporting and general knowledge aspects too.

On Sunday 28^th January 2024, 25 Khuddam were present at our Indoor Sports Day which took place in Roehampton Leisure centre. The sports included, indoor football, badminton and tug of war.

Concluding Session:

The Ijtema was concluded with respected Khaleeq Sahib – Mohtamin Amoomi as the honourable guest. Who kindly awarded khuddam there academic and sporting competition prizes and then delivered a short address on making core sacrifices for the sake of Allah the Almighty. Followed by which Khaleeq Sahib led all the attendees into silent prayer.
